This book is without a doubt worth every single star. It was a gripping thriller that left me craving for more. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and only took about three hours to finish in total. At many times throughout reading the book, i wanted to stop at a chapter and do something other than read...however this was just impossible to do. I was just utterly compelled to read on and on until i reached the last page.

I felt connected with the characters, especially with the main character, Kyla. I found myself liking charters that i don't think you are meant to! Many characters are not whom they first appear to be. Deception is a very key element in this book. Everything is shrouded in darkness until the author allows you to have a small tidbit of information that makes you as the reader question everything you have previously read. The story flowed easily and you find yourself wrapped up in it. You become trapped in a web until you begin to unravel bits and pieces.

I would completely recommend this book to everyone!

First thing’s first, I have to say that the cover of ‘Guardian’ is just stunning! It is just beautiful, inside and out. The cover was one of the first things capturing my attention to Gillian’s Facebook page, Guardian, and that then brought me to become caught and hooked to the plot! I’ve always thought that it is one of the most beautiful book covers I’ve laid eyes upon!



Hannah is a head-strong, determined and beautiful girl. But she is not just these things. She has a destiny, one that could eradicate all that she holds close to her. She is the Venatorcustos, the Guardian of all supernatural. She was born with these powers, the ability to recall all memories of Guardians preceding her. She also has the ability to heat the mind of any being around her, reducing them to a pile of ash!



Guardian was a fast-paced book, capturing the reader with ever turn of the page (Or flick of the screen!)! The characters all developed as the book progressed, all except Gabriel I believe. But this didn’t come as a surprise, because in my eyes, Gabriel is already perfect, he is one flawless being! I love all the characters deeply, and felt I could connect to them easily whenever a new face made an appearance. I do particularly love how Hannah has ‘guy troubles,’ and this is expertly done as many books nowadays have the element of boy-meets-girl, they fall in love, and this book was different, it was a quality that I did enjoy.



I don’t want to give away any spoilers by accident, so I think I’m going to stop there. But if there is one thing I can stress…If you have not read Guardian, by the amazingly talented Gillian, it is well worth a read! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute I spent reading this book, taking in all of the magnificent details that Gillian had woven into this magical world! It is definitely without a doubt a Five out of Five star rating from me! Thank you so much, Gillian, for letting me review Guardian for you! I absolutely, thoroughly loved it! I cannot wait to see what Forever, book two, has in store for us!

‘Wander Dust’ by Michelle Warren is an amazing book accompanied by a wonderful story. The first thing that captured my attention was the beautiful cover page! It really is one of the most stunning cover pages I have seen.



The story flowed extremely well and you, as the reader, could easily feel as though you are part of the story as well! I loved the characters, especially Bishop (who can actually resist the hottie of the book? Not me!) and Seraphina, the main character. And the school! The way it has been described by Michelle, every detail explained, makes you feel as though you are actually there. Who would not love to go to a school like that? I for one would love to! The history and décor sound amazing!



I felt as though I could not put this book down! The story captured my attention, and I felt as though I had to carry on reading and reading until I had finished it. I also loved how this story was a little different. It involved time travel. I haven’t read a book incorporating this concept for a very long time, therefore it was very refreshing! This book was not at all boring anywhere along the story, and this made it an exciting read. Seraphina, the main character is a very strong willed and intelligent individual, yet she is 16 years old, making her relatable to many teenagers.



I would absolutely recommend this book to everyone who is a lover of fantasy! It totally rocked and I have no hesitation in giving it a massive 5 stars out of 5! Thank you Michelle for letting me review Wander Dust! I can’t wait until the sequel is out!!

This book, by Terri Darling, was hilariously funny! Reading this I found myself laughing frequently. I came across this book on Amazon.co.uk in the Top 100 Free, and it looked alright, and I wasn’t disappointed. The book in all, was very short, however, I do not think that it detracted from the storyline. It took me about fifteen minutes maximum to read. The storyline was fast paced and makes you giggle as many things go wrong!



I’d rate this book at a three out of five stars, I was very good, but it left me wanting more!

‘Emergency: Wife lost and found’ by Carol Marinelli, in my opinion a very enjoyable read. I came across it on amazon.co.uk in the Top 100 free and as I enjoy medical dramas with a passion, I thought I’d give it a go!



I actually really enjoyed this book. The story behind it was that an A & E (ER for my American friends!) consultant, James Morrell, is on a round on the Emergency department when a severely injured casualty is rushed into the department suffering extreme injuries. He is taken aback as he instantly recognises the woman – she was his ex-wife, Dr Lorna McClelland! The story moves quickly around to their interactions and how they finally begin to open up to each other. The story following the dreadful car accident was an enjoyable read.



As many previous reviewers I have read say, ‘there was an overuse of exclamation points,’ I have to disagree. I believe that exclamation points are used and needed throughout this story, as much was full of emotion that needed proper portrayal, and how better way than an exclamation point? I think that they are a brilliant was of presenting the characters feeling and emotions, making them well known to the reader throughout.



I would overall give this book a four out of five stars!

This book, Betrayed, was a book about a young girl called Alexis, 17 years old, and how she was coming to terms with herself. This was a fun and exciting read, with twists and turns that I did not see coming at all. The plot moved at a quick pace and this kept the story flowing and interesting!

There were secrets being kept from Alexis, by both her Mother and Father, but also by her Guardian. These secrets had kept her in the dark for the whole of her life. This book portrays the troubles and struggles of how she had to deal with the bombardment of information about what she is, and who she is, and where her family fit into her life. Her world is turned upside down, and she is consequently forced to go on the run with her trusty Guardian. Danger, of hunters, loom after her, following her every move until they threaten to strike once and for all. Family is a major theme within this book. It reflects how blood is thicker than water, and that family will always and remain by your side, appearing out of nowhere to protect one another.

The book has a lovely selection of paranormal creatures including, vampires, witches and guardians, and many of you who love this genre would absolutely love to read this book. The story was however quite short, but it did not detract from the storyline or plot for that matter. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I cannot wait to see what is in store for her in the next!

This deserves a massive 5 out of 5 stars!

This book, by Caddy Rowland was one of the most emotional reads I have ever read. I am not a crier, I never cry, not watching sad movies, reading sad books, I am not a crier. Period. However, while reading this, I had experienced so many different emotions, that I had never thought possible while reading only one book! I was riding one of the most emotional rollercoasters! At times, I would cry as I felt for Gastien, and at other times throughout the story, I would smile and laugh.



The story and plot was exciting, and I was eager to know what was going to happen next, what was going to happen to Gastien! The story flowed very well indeed, the characters were extremely well thought-out and just the amount of detail that was describing everything was amazing!

I absolutely loved every second, even if at some points, my heart was breaking. I am so happy that Caddy Rowland let me review this book, and I am eagerly anticipating the next part! Thank you!

This was a short read, possibly taking only about ten minutes or so, but it certainly did not detract from the wonderful storyline. From the first word, I knew that I would love it, and it undoubtedly did not disappoint. It is a short, sweet Christmas story, with a learning curve. Christie learns this throughout the progress of the story. Marcus, her dashingly handsome next door neighbour is the one who teaches her a valuable lesson, showing us the reader, that we are to appreciate the smaller things we have in our lives. This short story really placed me into the Christmas mood, as it hasn’t been feeling at all Christmasy! It was a fabulous read, and I would gladly give it a massive 5 out of 5 stars!

I had picked this book up multiple times at Waterstones, but found myself putting it back on the shelf again. However, I decided to take the plunge and buy it anyway. My Gosh! Was I surprised or what! I found myself glued to the pages, lapping up every word. The story flowed tremendously beautifully and by the time I looked up, I was already half the way through.



The main character, Clara, is not your typical teenager. She is a Quartarious, a quarter angel. What I loved about this book is that it is not your typical boy-angel-meets-human-girl-fall-in-love story. Clara is part angel and has a mysterious hint of her ‘purpose,’ through the means of a mysterious and recurring vision. She believes she is the one to save the mysterious boy from a disastrous forest fire. All of the characters are easy to like and they help the story to develop quickly.



Overall, I loved every minute spent reading this book. The plot was amazing, the characters were very well developed and honestly, this is one of my favourite angel books so far! It is a definite read. I’d recommend it to any angel lover.

‘Haunted’ by Willow Cross, is a short collection of 100% true ghost stories from her life experiences. After reading all of Willow’s other books so far, I couldn’t wait to pick this one up and have a read. The book was short, and this made it an easy, quick and fun read, one that I thoroughly enjoyed!



How unbelievable is this? Willow moving into not one, but FOUR haunted houses! Willow, you are one awesome ghost magnet!



It was brilliant to read all of the experiences with the supernatural. I am amazed how brave Willow was, but she portrays how scary these encounters were. My favourite story has to be the ‘Blue Girl!’ I think that the fact that these are 100% true ghost stories, this makes them more scary and unnerving!



I would definitely recommend this book to any lover of the supernatural and paranormal genre and would with no hesitation give this five out of five stars!

‘Last Breath’ by Rachel Caine is the eleventh book in the Morganville Vampire Series. Oh My. I have too many thoughts to describe how amazing it was! I absolutely love how Ms Caine can create such a real world with this series. They are each exciting, romantic, dramatic with suspense lurking around every corner. I was anticipating reading this book after Bite Club, as it left me hanging, and truthfully, I couldn’t put this book down (hence the finishing it in less than one day!)



The plot and storyline was exciting and action-packed. I found myself tearing through the book in a speed unknown to man! Before reading Last Breath, I was incredibly worried about what the title suggested. That twist was a twist and a half! I had not seen it coming, not for a second! One thing, you will be so surprised that your mouths with hang open, just like mine did! I love the characters, Eve, Shane, Claire and Michael, as they each have individual defining qualities that make them unique and able to relate. One of my favourite characters, Myrnin, never fails to make me smile! He’s just one of a kind of crazy.



All in all, this book was not unsurprising, as there were elements imprinted within that made it an amazing read, a read that I would highly recommend to any lover of the paranormal! I would without a doubt give this book a massive 5 out of 5 stars!

‘She Wasn’t Allowed to Giggle’ by Lavinia Thompson is an extremely personal insight into Thompson’s abusive past. The raw emotions that permeate this book are shown through each word she chooses. It is not sugarcoated, but left there for the reader to see. The poetry left me heartbroken for her, as I couldn’t possibly imagine what this could do to a person, but I was delighted, thoroughly exultant to witness her triumph over the darkness that had followed her. This was, without a doubt, a very personal book, one that must have taken extreme willpower to write. I salute her for her absolute bravery and determination. Times, this poetry is often dark and sad, but this turns into a strong confession, a strong ascension from the gloom.



Lavinia Thompson, I admire you inner strength.

Review for 'The Dark Gifts:Inheritance' by Willow Cross...

The Dark Gifts: Inheritance, is the second book in the series. I had been waiting ever so patiently (*cough cough*) for this book to reach my possession. By patiently, I mean not at all. I was highly anticipating reading this book as I had absolutely loved the first book in the series.

Firstly, I knew beforehand that it would not directly link to the previous book, and consequently it was not an overall surprise when I started reading it that it did not follow on. This, I feel, was a very clever technique, as it kept you wandering throughout how it would link, therefore keeping me, and everyone else, tagging along! The story flowed perfectly, and I found that I was never confused at what was happening in the story line. Nearing the end however, it is as though a light bulb had been switched on; you realize how the story links.

Inheritance features a brand new cast of characters. You find yourself travelling along on their rollercoaster of a journey for the newly discovered werewolves, brother and sister, Sarah and Jason, clinging to their every word, action and thought. They capture you. I love how each character have defining characteristics that are both admirable and charming. You witness these characters go through the unexpected and comprehend how they mature and handle certain situations. In their own ways, they become independent, responsible and admirable. To me, I found it easy to relate, identify even with them. The story was kept alive by these characters, as they breathed life into it, and made it more real in my mind. The characters helped the story to flow easily, as you become captivated, mixed in with their emotions. You feel the need to know what happens next, what’s in store for them!

I would, without a single doubt, give Inheritance a 5/5 (or can I say 10/5? Am I allowed? As I that’s what I feel it deserves!) It kept me reading until the very last page. I was enthralled with the storyline, characters and the plot, as it was an attention-grabbing read! I would thoroughly recommend this story to anyone of the lover of the paranormal, as incorporated within are witches, vampires, werewolves and more! Thank you so much Mrs. Willow! I thoroughly enjoyed reading your work. You are a highly talented writer and I can’t wait to see what is in store for the next novel (talk about a cliff-hanger!)!
