Afraid her dart caused his amnesia, Milo takes him in, names him Nick, and vows to help him solve his mystery. Soon the pair find Nick's face in a newspaper obituary, and Nick begins to have strange, ethereal memories of Milo--who is sure she's never met him. Suddenly Nick knows things he shouldn't know and is doing things he shouldn't do. When the Department of Defense shows up, Nick and Milo run--toward a shocking conclusion that could destroy both their worlds.
BEFORE YOU GO:
Margo Ford just became an heiress. Not the Paris Hilton kind. Her billions came after her father died and her insanely wealthy, insanely absent mother officially claimed her. Unfortunately, some terrorists noticed, and they hatched a plot to kidnap her. After a news report goes awry, reporting that Margo *has* been kidnapped, and her mother offers the humiliating sum of $500,000 for her return, Margo doesn't want anything to do with her *#$!@ of an egg donor. Then she is sentenced to a summer of "protection" on her mother's private island. Not the Oprah Winfrey kind. This one has an astronomical observatory filled with scientists, including Logan Greer, a super hot, super infuriating planet-hunter. Hiding out from kidnappers has never been so boring... until suddenly it isn't anymore.

Interview with Michael from Willow Cross's The Dark Gifts Series!!

Katie: Hi Michael! How are you today?

Michael: Wonderful, thank you for having me.

Katie: Okay! So, onto the easy question! Describe yourself in about 5 sentences...

Michael: Oh boy.I suppose Liz would tell you I’m quite bossy. Angie would say I’m full of myself. I take things pretty seriously, but you can’t afford to goof around when you have this many enemies. I try to be kind when it’s appropriate, but don’t cross me.I can be ruthless if the situation calls for it.

Katie: Now it’s time to delve down into the more personal areas… What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Michael: The war decided. Monroe and his followers erased from the planet. Liz and I living out a peaceful life at the cabin. I know, it’s not realistic, but you did ask. ;)

Katie: What parts of loving do you find easy for you? Hard?

Michael: Liz is easy to love. Even if we didn’t have the vampyric connection, I believe I would have still fallen in love with her. Hard? I’m not used to feeling helpless and scared. Now I live in constant fear she will be taken from me.

Katie: What do you consider your strengths to be?

Michael: My knowledge and fighting skills are at the forefront of my strengths. I’m trustworthy and honest, and not many are able to say that these days. And last but not least, Liz is my biggest source of strength while also managing to be my biggest weakness.

Katie: What about your weaknesses?

Michael: Most definitely Liz.

Katie: Do you have a greatest fear?

Michael: My greatest fear is that I will fail to protect her.

Katie: What is the most important thing in your life? What do you value the most?

Michael: Other than Liz, which I’m sure you expected, I’d say that the most important thing is keeping the natural order of things intact is what I most value. You humans are both wonderful creatures, and incredibly trying. If you only knew how hard we’ve worked to keep you safe and oblivious to what goes on in the world...

Katie: What is your most treasured possession?

Michael: The sword my father gave me right after he turned me.

Katie: What's the one thing you have always wanted to do but didn't/couldn't/wouldn't?

Michael: Swim in the ocean. I will someday, but probably not any time soon.

Katie: Do you have any secrets? Do you feel like sharing? LOL

Michael: I have many secrets, but if I tell you, I’ll have to kill you. You seem like a most pleasant young lady, so I wouldn’t dream of putting you in that kind of danger. (And Willow would absolutely kill me!)

Katie: What’s your favourite colour?

Michael: Black

Katie: Team Edward or Jacob? (You know, if you were a girl LOL ;) )

Michael: I don’t watch sports. ;)

Katie: Hahaha!!!

Katie: Thank you so much Michael for coming to do this interview! It was amazing to have you! Thanks Willow, for letting Michael come and play LOL! :D

Review for 'Guardian' by Gillian Joy...

GuardianGuardian by Gillian Joy

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First thing’s first, I have to say that the cover of ‘Guardian’ is just stunning! It is just beautiful, inside and out. The cover was one of the first things capturing my attention to Gillian’s Facebook page, Guardian, and that then brought me to become caught and hooked to the plot! I’ve always thought that it is one of the most beautiful book covers I’ve laid eyes upon!

Hannah is a head-strong, determined and beautiful girl. But she is not just these things. She has a destiny, one that could eradicate all that she holds close to her. She is the Venatorcustos, the Guardian of all supernatural. She was born with these powers, the ability to recall all memories of Guardians preceding her. She also has the ability to heat the mind of any being around her, reducing them to a pile of ash!

Guardian was a fast-paced book, capturing the reader with ever turn of the page (Or flick of the screen!)! The characters all developed as the book progressed, all except Gabriel I believe. But this didn’t come as a surprise, because in my eyes, Gabriel is already perfect, he is one flawless being! I love all the characters deeply, and felt I could connect to them easily whenever a new face made an appearance. I do particularly love how Hannah has ‘guy troubles,’ and this is expertly done as many books nowadays have the element of boy-meets-girl, they fall in love, and this book was different, it was a quality that I did enjoy.

I don’t want to give away any spoilers by accident, so I think I’m going to stop there. But if there is one thing I can stress…If you have not read Guardian, by the amazingly talented Gillian, it is well worth a read! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute I spent reading this book, taking in all of the magnificent details that Gillian had woven into this magical world! It is definitely without a doubt a Five out of Five star rating from me! Thank you so much, Gillian, for letting me review Guardian for you! I absolutely, thoroughly loved it! I cannot wait to see what Forever, book two, has in store for us!

Author interview with Amy Armbruster, the author of Whispering Coves!

1. Tell us about yourself and your books!

Lately I have been describing myself alot as: Wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend - I love a cemetery on a foggy morning, I love taking pictures of anything that catches my eyes, I love to ghost hunt, I love to write and of course, last but not least, I love to spend time having fun with the family! My books...well, I write what I feel and can relate too! There's a bit of me in every book... for instance Shyla (from Whispering Coves) and her hypochondriac tendencies come straight from me (the stories I could tell)! lol! I enjoy a good ghost story that is clean enough for my daughter and her pre-teen friends to read. That's what I try to write.

2. What would you say is your favourite book/series?

We are going to go WAY back now but V.C. Andrews - anything from her when she was living - I read all of the Flowers in the Attic series as well as the Heaven (I think that was it) series. Loves them!

3. What do you do when you are not writing?

I spend a vast majority of time online - too much time, now that I have so many pages to keep up with. I enjoy ghost hunting as I said already, but also hiking and exploring with the family too - love to go to antique malls, love to explore local cemeteries and photograph the headstones and really love to search out abandoned farmhouses to photograph (all while NOT trespassing mind you). This girl likes to avoid fines and jail time! :)

4. How do you manage to get over writers block?

I start something new. The beauty of self-publishing is I have no dead lines. I do what I want, when I want and how I want. I may never make my fortune but I avoid writers block by not stressing about writers block. If I am "stuck" on a story I simply work on another one. I have so many stories in the works I should never run out of ideas or something to do!

5. How did you come up with the ideas for your books?

I find inspiration everywhere I go...many times I have an idea but it isn't until I'm writing the story that it actually unfolds, characters develop, plots thicken...I really love stories within the story! For example, in Whispering Coves, Shyla finds a diary - who wouldn't love to find a diary?

6. How have your personal experiences affected your writing?

Trust me, they are hidden deep within my books so they have a great affect on my writing. In Whispering Coves, you are introduced to Shyla from the very beginning...you find out about the loss of her brother. That is taken from my own life, I lost a cousin who was very much like a brother to me...all that pain...well, it's all right there in the book. Writing is an excellent form of therapy and much cheaper. :)

7. What, do you think, was the hardest part of writing your books?

The hardest part is finding time! I work full time and have a family at home. I am a paranormal investigator with a fairly active group called Just Curious Paranormal Studies, we try to investigate once or twice a month, so finding time is definitely the hardest part of writing!

8. If you could narrow it down to 5 of your favourite songs, what would they be?

This is so hard!!!! I have such a vast taste in music - my husband often teases that according to my MP3 player I am bipolar. I love Alexander's Ragtime Band, Bing Crosby's "Is You Is or Is You Ain't My Baby", as well as anything by Seether or Godsmack! Picking 5 is IMPOSSIBLE! Don't ask me to choose :)

9. Do you have a favourite colour?

I love light colors, pastels. No real favorite. If it comes to clothing, I love black - because it is supposed to be slimming.

10. What is your favourite food? All of it. Which is why I wear so much black :)

11. Team Edward or Team Jacob? (Twilight Saga)

I probably will not gain any fans here, but, um, well, I have never watched or read one Twilight book. Please don't hit me. I'm not a fan of either... I know boo, hiss, right... Sorry.

12. If you could have any superpower in the world, what would you choose and why?

I want to fly because the cost of gas is just way tooooo much.

13. Do you have any advice for aspiring authors?

If you love it - do it! Let people you trust to tell you the truth read your book and give you advice, you have to know how to take the good and the bad. Most important, believe in yourself and never give up! Everyone has a story to tell.

14. Do you have anything else you would like to add to your fans and readers?

I appreciate all the support! Facebook has provided me with some wonderful friends and support - it's been amazing! My next book, Devon's Curse, will be coming out soon! After that, keep an eye out for Sister's Forevermore.

Thank so much for the interview, Katie!

~Thank you SO much, Amy, for taking the time to answer the questions! ♥ ~Katie

Review for 'Wander Dust' by Michelle Warren...

Wander Dust (The Seraphina Parrish Trilogy, #1)Wander Dust by Michelle Warren

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

‘Wander Dust’ by Michelle Warren is an amazing book accompanied by a wonderful story. The first thing that captured my attention was the beautiful cover page! It really is one of the most stunning cover pages I have seen.

The story flowed extremely well and you, as the reader, could easily feel as though you are part of the story as well! I loved the characters, especially Bishop (who can actually resist the hottie of the book? Not me!) and Seraphina, the main character. And the school! The way it has been described by Michelle, every detail explained, makes you feel as though you are actually there. Who would not love to go to a school like that? I for one would love to! The history and décor sound amazing!

I felt as though I could not put this book down! The story captured my attention, and I felt as though I had to carry on reading and reading until I had finished it. I also loved how this story was a little different. It involved time travel. I haven’t read a book incorporating this concept for a very long time, therefore it was very refreshing! This book was not at all boring anywhere along the story, and this made it an exciting read. Seraphina, the main character is a very strong willed and intelligent individual, yet she is 16 years old, making her relatable to many teenagers.

I would absolutely recommend this book to everyone who is a lover of fantasy! It totally rocked and I have no hesitation in giving it a massive 5 stars out of 5! Thank you Michelle for letting me review Wander Dust! I can’t wait until the sequel is out!!
